About the Author

Debanjan Chakrabarti, 1957 born, an outstanding Bengali writer, had started writing in his teens. His eight volumes of poems, six volumes of short stories, three novels, and one travelogue have been appreciated by a wide section of readers. His writings have been translated into many Indian and foreign languages. Debanjan has travelled extensively in many countries and has travelogs written by him. He has been editing several periodicals in Bengali.

Chandak Chattarji‘s publications in English include Summer Knows (Poetrywala 2021); You Can Do It! Be a Grammar Champ (HarperCollins 2021); as well as translations of Jibanananda Das’s short stories and six Bangla poets (Poetrywala 2017). A product of Shantiniketan, Calcutta University and the College of Preceptors, London, his Bengali books include Amra Tinjon (Us Three), and the poetry and prose collection Ekti Sambhyabyo Boi (Yapanchitra 2022).
