In 1945 Japanese left Burma and my father was arrested being a supporter of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and put in Dacca jail.
In August 1961 I was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Physics Gokhale memorial Girls' College, Kolkata. As my teaching and post Doctoral research was being continued, I was invited as visiting scientist in USA, Germany, Japan, ANU Australia, Denmark. I retired from College in 1999. Prof FMH Faisal of Bielefeld University, Germany, invited me for one year from Feb. 2003 to 2004 to assist him in a theoretical project. On my return to India I was appointment as Research Associate at IACS and authored few papers with Prof Joyprokas Chakraborty and Prof Faisal.
Unfortunately my husband died in Dec 30, 2019. As Covid-19 pandemic started worldwide in January 2020 many elderly researchers were barred to enter IACS. Then I took up the project of writing this biography..."
